METRICH seizes cash, heroin during search

The METRICH Task Force, Mansfield Police Department and Allied Special Operation Response Team recovered suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia and $4,935 during a Thursday search at 235 W. First St.

Two Detroit men were arrested on drug trafficking charges after authorities obtained a search warrant. The investigation ensued after complaints of suspicious activity, METRICH Sgt. Steve Blust said.

Rondell Hinson was arrested on three felony counts of trafficking in heroin and felony possession of drugs, heroin. Derrick Huff was arrested on two felony counts of trafficking in heroin and felony possession of drugs, heroin. Both were taken to the Richland County Jail.

In a news release, Blust commended residents for not tolerating drugs in the community.
