One arrested in drug search

A Fostoria man was arrested on a cocaine possession charge Tuesday following a drug-related search warrant at his Bugner Street residence.

Diondre Nathaniel Brown, 20, of Fostoria (formerly of Toledo), was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, after officers with the Seneca County Drug Task Force-METRICH Enforcement Unit and Fostoria Police Department conducted a raid at 851 Bugner St.

According to a news release from Det. Chuck Boyer, METRICH coordinator, Brown lives at the residence with Danelle Settles, 31, and Anthony Armstrong, 28.

The search warrant, signed by Judge Mark Repp of the Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court, unveiled suspected crack cocaine and criminal tools.

Additional charges of trafficking crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of criminal tools and permitting drug abuse are all pending on the residents with the conclusion of the entire drug investigation, the release stated.

“Our police department, along with the drug task force, were receiving a large amount of complaints coming from that specific area at Dillon Crossing,” Fostoria Police Chief Keith Loreno said in the news release. “Today is just a small example of our response to the complaints and our continued efforts to preserve the quality of life in that area of our community.” Brown is being held at the Seneca County Jail pending further court proceedings.
