Painesville man arrested in narcotics agency raid

The Lake County Narcotics Agency arrested a Painesville man found with a “large quantity of drugs” during an Oct. 15 raid.

The agency executed a search warrant at 381 South St. Clair Street in the city following numerous complaints of drug activity at the residence. The Painesville Police Department and Lake County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the raid.

Law enforcement found crack cocaine and marijuana with an estimated street value of more than $2,000, Lake County Narcotics Agency Director David Frisone said.

Larry Jacobs Jr., 35, was arrested and charged with third-degree felony possession of crack cocaine. He was arraigned in Painesville Municipal Court Oct. 16 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 22. Bond was set at $5,000.

Frisone said additional charges are pending as part of a joint investigation with his agency, Painesville police, the sheriff’s office, the Lake County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lake County Crime Lab.
