Parents Accused Of Selling Marijuana To High School Students

The parents of a middle and high school student were arrested Thursday, accused of selling marijuana to high school students.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, the drug task force received a complaint regarding marijuana being sold to high school students at Franklin Heights High School.

Through investigation and surveillance, detectives observed what they believe to be high school age children entering a home at 1588 Greenville Rd. and exiting a short time later.

A search warrant was executed at the home by the SWAT team at about 5:17 p.m. Thursday, and revealed about a pound of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Two people were arrested and allegedly admitted to selling drugs to high school students.

The suspects were identified as parents of two middle and high school students, and they were arrested.

Stacy McGuire, 37, and Patrick McGuire, 41, were charged with trafficking in marijuana and possession of marijuana.
