Search Warrant in Defiance

On June 9, 2014 the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 556 Defiance Crossing Defiance, Ohio.  The search warrant was related to an ongoing drug investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine throughout Northwest Ohio.  During the search warrant several “one pot” methamphetamine labs were removed from the residence and neutralized by the members of the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force.

Angela M. Garcia, age 38, and Harold E. Gunn, age 35, both who resided at the residence were arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine in the presence of children, a Felony of the First degree.  They were also charged with Child Endangering, a Felony of the Third degree.  Garcia and Gunn were transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio and will appear on June 11, 2014 in the Defiance Municipal Court.

The Multi Area Narcotics Task Force was assisted at the scene by the Defiance Police Department, Defiance County Sheriff’s Office, the Defiance Fire Department and the Defiance County Job and Family Service’s Child Protective unit.

The investigation will be submitted to the Defiance County Prosecutor, Morris J. Murray, for presentation to the Defiance County Grand Jury.   Additional charges at Grand Jury on Garcia and Gunn include Assembly of Chemicals for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine F-2 and Possession of Methamphetamine F5.
