Search warrant leads to arrest

A man was arrested when Seneca County Drug Task Force — METRICH Enforcement Unit and officers from Fostoria Police Department executed a drug-related search warrant Thursday.

The task force executed the warrant at 728 W. Park Ave., which is the residence of Dominique J.A. Blakely, 26, according to a release.

The warrant, signed by Tiffin-Fostoria Municipal Court Judge Mark Repp, unveiled money, suspected crack cocaine, suspected cocaine, criminal tools, a firearm and evidence of drug trafficking, the release states.

The release states Blakely was charged with trafficking cocaine, a first-degree felony, and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. Blakely was taken to Wood County Correctional Facility, it states.

Additional charges of trafficking crack cocaine and possession of criminal tools are pending upon the conclusion of the drug investigation and the return of the lab analysis of the substances involved in the investigation, the release states.

Fostoria Police Department’s canine unit assisted, it states.
