Search warrant leads to three arrests BRYAN

Three persons were arrested last week after deputies with the Williams County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a Bryan residence. Bayle Hill, 21, no permanent address, Brook Rice, 30, Bryan, and Danial Austin, age and address unavailable, were arrested when officers executed a search warrant at 220 W. High St., Unit C, Bryan.

Hill was arrested on a bench warrant from Williams County Common Pleas Court and Rice was arrested on probation violation. Austin was arrested on bench warrant from Bryan Municipal Court. Hill and Rice are being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker. Austin was released.

The Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force was also called to the residence and an investigation is pending. Additional charges are likely to be filed.

Rice was indicted Tuesday by a Williams County grand jury on charges of aggravated arson, a first-degree felony; illegal manufacture of drugs, a first-degree felony; illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a second-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony; and endangering children, a third-degree felony.

The indictment alleges that Rice caused a substantial risk of harm to occupants of a residence at 304 Center St., Bryan, by means of a fire or explosion. He also allegedly possessed methamphetamine as well as possessed chemicals and engaged in the production of methamphetamine in the vicinity of a juvenile.
