Search Warrants in Medina County

On Wednesday February 5, 2014 task force agents and officers from the Medina Police Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of Abbeyville Road in the city of Medina.  During the search, 27 marijuana plants were found in a tent type grow-room constructed in the master bedroom of the home.  Agents also found 24 containers of psilocybin mushroom spores that were in the infancy stage of development.

A resident of the home, was arrested for Endangering Children - a 3rd degree felony. A one year-old infant was found to be living in the home. Additional charges stemming from the cultivation and trafficking of marijuana and the cultivation of psilocybin mushrooms will be sought against  other occupants of the home.

The mother of the children was indicted for Endangering Children and Illegal Cultivation.  The male was indicted for Illegal Cultivation, Illegal Assembly of Chemicals and Endangering Children.
