Sheriff credits teamwork for this week’s drug arrests

Crawford County Sheriff Scott Kent credits teamwork for the department’s five drug busts from Monday through Thursday this week.

Deputies worked with Bucyrus & Galion Police Departments, Bucyrus and Galion Fire Departments and
the METRICH Enforcement Unit as part of the Crawford County Special Response Team and also assisted
the Ohio Adult Parole Authority.

Three of the incidents took place in Galion and one happened in Crestline and one in Bucyrus.

“There are a lot of resources that are available when you bring a group together,” Kent said.

“Teaming up worked very well for us.”

Kent said all five cases this week were isolated, but feels the cases will continue to have a
positive impact in the communities.

“It’s satisfying to know that we’re taking the availability away,” Kent said. “You see a difference
in other areas when drug arrests are made.
