SHERIFF'S OFFICE METRO NARCOTICS UNIT SEIZES 11 OUNCES OF MOLLY (ECSTASY)

Sheriff George T. Maier announced that on Tuesday, September 16. 2014 the Stark County Sheriff's Metro Narcotics Unit completed a joint investigation, along with the Summit County Drug Unit.  The joint investigation resulted in a search warrant and the arrest of two suspects in connection with the case for Possession of Drugs and Trafficking in Drugs.  Investigators seized approximately H ounces of Molly (Ecstasy), which has a street value of $30,000.00.

Sheriff Maier stated that the drug Molly, or Ecstasy, is becoming more and more available in this area and this is just another step in making sure this drug does not end up in the hands of users.  This drug is also becoming more common with high school students. The Stark County Sheriff's Office Metro Narcotics Unit has worked several of these cases recently.

Two suspects were arrested and were found to be selling the drug from a local motel in Stark County. Arrested was EVAN H. HAUT a white male age 19 of Canton. Ohio and BRIAN A. HARRIS a white male age 18 of Massillon. Ohio. Both were charged with 1 (one) count of Possession of Drugs, 2925.11 (F2) and 1 (one) count of Trafficking in Drugs, 2925.03 (F2).

The case remains under investigation by the Stark County Sheriffs Office Metro Narcotics Unit.
