Summit drug agents make heroin bust in Akron mall’s parking lot

A Stow man was arrested on heroin trafficking charges after authorities say he made a drug deal in the Chapel Hill Mall parking lot.

Lance Richardson, 30, was arrested Thursday by agents with the Summit County Drug Unit.

According to reports, agents say they witnessed an apparent drug transaction in the parking lot and then approached Richardson.

Agents recovered about 5 grams of heroin and seized $1,791 in cash.

Richardson was released Friday from the Summit County Jail on a $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 3 for a hearing in Akron Municipal Court.
