Three indicted on drug charges

Three people were in the Trumbull County Jail on Friday facing various drug charges stemming from a July raid in Lordstown.

Indicted Thursday were Larry E. Moran, 40; Chad M. Richmond, 33; and Samantha L. Bumbico, 33.

Lordstown police and the Trumbull Ashtabula Group task force raided an apartment on July 26 at 1005 Hallock Young Road after neighbors complained of increased activity at the building.

Once there, investigators found a methamphetamine lab in a storage building next to the apartment and called a Trumbull County HazMat crew, which removed materials in plastic bags from the property.

Moran has been charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. Richmond has been charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs. Bumbico is charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and endangering children.

All of the charges are felonies.

All three were arrested by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Lordstown Police Department and were in the Trumbull County Jail late Friday afternoon.
