Two arrested after raid on Williams Avenue
The METRICH Enforcement Unit seized cash, marijuana, suspected heroin and an assortment of drug paraphernalia Wednesday night during a raid at 95 E. Williams Ave., according to a police report.
The raid and search was conducted at 11:43 p.m. with assistance from the Allied Special Operations Response Team.
A man and woman, both 24, were expected to be served drug-related felony warrants today, including possession of heroin and drug trafficking charges. They were taken to the Richland County Jail. A third person was released pending further investigation, the report stated.
Authorities found a bag of suspected marijuana and a bag that contained several individually wrapped pieces of suspected heroin. A man had $285 in cash in his pants pocket and $1,700 in cash hidden inside his shoes. Another individual had $305 in cash, the report stated.
