Two remain jailed for meth

Two people remain in jail and have been charged for their alleged roles in a meth lab discovered last week in West Salem.

Heather A. Graham, 27, and Anthony V. Smith II, 33, both of 64 Congress St., have both been charged with felony counts of illegal possession or assembly of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.

Both Graham and Smith remain in Wayne County Jail on bonds of 10 percent of $25,000 cash or surety. No court dates have been set, as their cases have been bound over to the Wayne County Common Pleas Court.

They were arrested Jan. 26, according to court documents, after a search warrant was executed at their residence on Congress Street between the Medway Drug Enforcement Agency and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Several items used to make meth, along with suspected drugs, were found inside the residence. A 12-gauge shotgun was also located inside the residence.

Smith reportedly told law enforcement he cooked and sold methamphetamine. Both he and Graham were allegedly purchasing boxes of pseudoephedrine as well, and sold some of those boxes for $50 to $100 apiece.

The couple's two young children were also in the residence at the time the search warrant was executed and were placed into the care of family.
