Drug gear found in search of home

Drug paraphernalia was found during the search of a residence in the first block of St. Clair Street Friday afternoon.

A search warrant was executed at about 4 p.m. at 72 St. Clair St., said Detective Chuck Boyer, unit coordinator for Seneca County Drug Task Force — METRICH Enforcement Unit, with assistance from Tiffin Police Department.

Paraphernalia “indicative to marijuana use” was found inside, he said.

Terry L. Ellis, 39, of Tiffin, was in the house at the time of the search, Boyer said, and charges were pending against him Friday for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Boyer said police were made aware of potential drug activity at the residence through tips from neighbors who said suspicious people were moving in and out of the house.
