Three officers injured, two people arrested at meth lab bust

Another meth lab investigation concluded in a search warrant in southern Crawford County on Monday afternoon resulting in arrests and injuries to law enforcement officers.

The Crawford County Special Response team, which consists of officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus and Galion police departments, and paramedics from Bucyrus and Galion fire departments, executed the warrant at 1455 Ohio 294, Marion. Officers seized numerous items and chemicals related to the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia and a firearm.

Forty-three-year-old Stacy Jones and 33-year-old Alfonso Villavicencio Jr. are in custody and being held at the county jail on charges of felony 1 illegal manufacturing of drugs.

Two officers suffered chemical exposure and a third officer was bitten by a dog. All three were treated and released from Bucyrus Community Hospital.
In addition to CERT and the Sheriff’s Office, the Dallas township Fire Department, Crawford County Emergency Management Agency, METRICH and the Ohio BCI Clandestine Lab Response Team were also at the scene.
