4 Arrested on Drug Charges in Ironton

Three men and a woman were arrested Wednesday on drug charges in connection with a stimulant sold to undercover officers, the Lawrence County Prosecutor's Office reports.

Richard L. Sharp, 52, David Lee Arthur Jr., 34, and Johnda Nicole Rife, 30, all of Ironton, and Paul Eddie McMackin, 55, of Coal Grove, were arrested.

All four suspects were arrested at Sharp's home in the 1000 block of North 3rd Street in Ironton.

Officers say Sharp and McMackin sold Alpha PVP, a powerful stimulant, to a confidential informant several times in April at Sharp's home.

The Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office are involved with the investigation.

All four suspects are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday.
