Medina County Sheriff Tom Miller along with Director Gary Hubbard Medina County Drug Task Force, Chief Carl Deforest Brunswick Police, Chief Randy Reinke Wadsworth Police, Chief Keith Keough Lodi Police, Chief Don Burson Seville Police, Chief Sharon MacKay Brunswick Hills Twp. Police, Chief David Arbogast Medina Twp. Police and Chief Terry Grice Montville Twp. Police are announcing the formation of a county-wide criminal patrol task force. The task force will be comprised of officers from the Medina County Sheriff’s Office and the participating law enforcement agencies.

The task force has been formed by the Sheriff and the participating Chiefs of Police to provide mutual assistance to reduce the flow of narcotics, weapons, and the illegal proceeds from the sale of narcotics to distribution areas, both inside and outside the boundaries of Medina County. Officers from participating agencies have been sworn in as deputies by Sheriff Miller for their participation on the task force, this allows each of the officers county-wide jurisdiction. The funding for each of the officers will remain the responsibility of their respective agencies.

“The efforts of law enforcement are an important part of the effort to abate drug use in Medina County. The combined efforts of the participating agencies should allow more effective and coordinated enforcement efforts to target those who engage in the trafficking of controlled substances.” said Sheriff Miller.
