Drugs, money found in ELO home

Charges are pending following execution of a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at a city home where drugs and cash were confiscated by drug task force officers.

With guns drawn, agents from the Columbiana County Drug Task Force, the county Special Response Team and officers from the city police force converged on the hilltop home at 647 Riley Avenue as neighbors stood watching from their yards.

Officers led six handcuffed people from inside the home, Cynthia Renee Williams, 43; Mark Clendenning, 22; Jordan March, 25; James Doychak, 28; Phillip Roberts, 23, all from East Liverpool; and Mack Griffin, 23, from Cleveland, ordering them to sit on the front porch as the house was searched.

The city K-9 team of Chad Tatgenhorst and Ivo were also on the scene.
According to task force Director Detective Lieutenant Brian McLaughlin, 5.6 grams of heroin, with a street value of $1,100, were found inside the home, along with $900 in cash and digital scales.

He said arrests of multiple subjects are pending the outcome of laboratory results of the items found inside the home.

According to the county auditor's website, the home is owned by Teresa K. Crane, of that address.
