Heroin trafficking charge follows search

A man was arrested after allegedly transporting heroin from Toledo to Tiffin Friday. Robert J. Allison, 65, of Tiffin, was charged with trafficking heroin, a third-degree felony, and additional charges were pending Friday, according to Seneca County Drug Task Force METRICH Enforcement Unit.

Allison was incarcerated at Seneca County Jail.

Chuck Boyer, the local unit coordinator, said Allison allegedly had been distributing heroin throughout the Tiffin area for quite awhile.

Boyer said Allison allegedly had been transporting heroin from Toledo to Tiffin and was returning from Toledo when he was stopped Friday.
