METRICH raid turns up murder suspect

The METRICH Enforcement Unit scored more than drugs during a Wednesday night raid.

With the help of the Allied Special Operations Response Team, METRICH searched a residence in the 200 block of West Third Street. Two men were taken into custody.

The suspects would not give their information, Lt. Joe Petrycki said. A fingerprint check revealed one of them, 19-year-old Eric Anderson, was wanted on a fugitive-from-justice warrant out of Detroit charging him with murder.

Petrycki said he did not know the details of the incident. A public information officer at the Detroit Police Department was not available late Friday night.

In addition to the murder warrant, Anderson was charged with possession of heroin, as was Deante Griffin, 21.
