Police raid Loudonville Tobacco Shop

Authorities seized more than $15,000 worth of drug-related items during a Tuesday raid at the Loudonville Tobacco Shop.

The investigation, partially funded by the METRICH Enforcement Unit, was initiated after complaints the store was selling various forms of synthetic marijuana to adults and juveniles.

Items seized included large amounts of drug paraphernalia and various K2 and synthetic marijuana-related products weighing more than five pounds.

Participating agencies were the Ashland County Sheriff's Office and the Ashland and Loudonville police departments.

The case will be sent to the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office for charges.
