Task Force finds pot in Salem home

SALEM - A large quantity of marijuana reportedly was found at the home of the owners of Friend's Roastery. The home was raided on Tuesday by the Columbiana County Drug Task Force along with the Salem police.

According to Detective Lt. Brian McLaughlin, the director of the drug task force, the two law enforcement agencies went together to serve a search warrant on Tuesday at the home of Peter M. Lynch and Patricia Tinkler, Summit Street, Salem. Police searched both the home and garage, locating about five pounds of marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia and a semi-automatic pistol.

The search warrant followed a year-long investigation. Lynch was reportedly the only person at the home at the time the search warrant was being served. No arrests were made, but the matter remains under investigation and charges could be pending.

The Friend's Roastery website lists Mitch Lynch and Patricia Tinkler as the owners of the coffee shop.
