Three arrested following search in Defiance

Three people were arrested Thursday after members of the Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at Defiance residence.

According to Chief Deputy Doug Engel, officials executed the search warrant at 06909 Ohio 66, lot 59. Arrested were: Julianne McCoy-Gallman, 28, 1003 Harrison Ave., Alexander Keezer, 19, Defiance, and Justin Jennings, 20, 613 Washington Ave.

Gallman was charged with endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor and trafficking in heroin within 100-feet of a child, a fourth-degree felony. Keezer was charged with possession of heroin, a fifthdegree felony. Jennings was arrested on a bench warrant out of Wood County. All three were taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.

During the investigation, officers seized U.S. currency, suspected heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The cases will be forwarded to Defiance County Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office where additional charges will be presented to a Defiance County grand jury.

Assisting the MAN Unit was the Defiance County Sheriff’s Office and Defiance County Prosecutor’s Office.
