Wickliffe couple charged with crack cocaine trafficking

A Wickliffe couple has been arrested on crack cocaine trafficking following a two-month long investigation.

The couple was arrested June 9 after members of the Western Lake County Emergency Response Team served a search warrant for narcotics at the house at 2361 E. 290th St.

According to Wickliffe Police, the investigation began after multiple complaints from citizens, including surveillance by patrol officers and detectives as well as multiple confidential sources.

Members of the Lake County Narcotics Agency assisted in the execution of the search warrant.

Cynthia and Terrence Barnwell were each charged with two counts of fourth-degree felony trafficking in cocaine and fifth-degree felony possessing criminal tools, according to Willoughby Municipal Court records.

Both have preliminary hearings scheduled for June 16.
