Woman Shot in Raid- Dies

35-year-old Crystal Barrows has died at a Columbus hospital from a what appears to have been a gunshot wound to the head during a Wednesday night drug raid on a Blain Highway mobile. 

An investigation is underway to determine the reason for the shot being fired, which currently appears to have been unintentional and coming from a law enforcement gun.

Six people were arrested following a search of a mobile home on the 400-block of US 23 South, Wednesday. Ross County Sheriff George Lavender said the warrant was served at 10:30pm, and 6 men, 4 women, and 1 female juvenile were found inside, along with large amounts of suspected heroin, drug abuse instruments, cash, firearms, and presumed stolen property.

Sheriff Lavender reported 32-year-old Rodney Tackett, who was found with a loaded firearm, was arrested on a Pickaway County warrant; 27-year-old Rodney Fyffe, 24-year-old Kaitlin Landrum, and 34-year-old Jason Hall were also arrested on warrants; 30-year-old Arnold Haney was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments and had a felony warrant from Indiana; 23-year-old Ashley Rowley was charged with felony child endangering.

The Ross County Sheriff's Office was called BCI to the scene to review the execution of the warrant, according to Sheriff Lavender.
