Two charged with operating meth lab

Two people were arrested Tuesday in connection with a methamphetamine operation. Officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, along with Bucyrus and Galion Police departments, METRICH Enforcement Unit, Huron County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Clandestine Lab Unit served a search warrant at 8023 Ohio 3, Plymouth.

A faster way of making methamphetamine is leading to more meth labs, police say. Ohio ranked fourth in the country in 2013 as authorities uncovered 1,010 labs, chemicals and glassware used in the drug’s cooking process. Indiana was first, followed by Tennessee and Missouri.
