Sheriff Al Solomon released information on nine drug arrests that took place on Friday morning.  The arrests were a result of several months of investigation by the Auglaize / Mercer County Grand Lake Drug Task Force.

Multiple residences were searched by FBI and METRICH-MARMET Drug Task Force members in a drug investigation targeting “upper-level people.” The law enforcement agencies took to the streets Tuesday morning and afternoon to search three local homes that Maj. Bill Collins with the Marion Police Department classified as “a big deal.”

LORAIN, Ohio - Lorain Police have confirmed that most of the drug being sold as heroin that caused 23 overdoses and two deaths since Friday is pure fentanyl. Lorain County Drug Task Force said that nearly all of the confiscated substance is 100 percent fentanyl, though one batch they obtained is 100 percent heroin.
