Officers think drug traffickers from Chicago only operated a few days before they were busted. The METRICH-MARMET Drug Task Force, assisted by the Marion City Special Response Team, the Marion Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, discovered heroin and crack cocaine Wednesday afternoon.
A number of people were detained on an investigative hold and released after the search of a local residence yielded a cache of drugs and some weapons. Cardington Police Chief John Hinton issued a press release Wednesday, January 29 regarding the confiscation:
